Managing Inventory Pro Addins
How to install an add-in:
- Unzip the attached file into a temporary folder.
- Start Inventory Pro and select "Add-In Manager"
from System menu.
- Click the "Add New" button.
- Use the browser to find the unzipped file and double-click it.
- Click the "Close" button to exit Add-In Manager.
How to uninstall an add-in:
- Start Inventory Pro and select "Add-In Manager"
from the "System" menu.
- Find the add-in in the list, double click it, and close Add-In
Manager.
How to remove an add-in from your computer:
- Uninstall the add-in as described above, but do not close Add-in
Manager.
- Click the "Add New" button, (do not change the folder
you are in) find file ciss####.MDE or .MDA (where #### is a four-digit
number), select it and press the Delete key on the keyboard.
- If the file cannot be deleted because of a sharing violation, close
and restart Inventory Pro then retry.)
- Close the file browser by clicking the Cancel button and close
Add-in Manager.
All steps must be done in exact order.
How to back up an add-in:
- Some add-ins are saving additional data for later use.
- Start Inventory Pro and select "Add-In Manager" from
the "System" menu.
- Click the "Add New" button.
- Use the browser to find a file with the name ciss####.MDE or .MDA
(where #### is a four-digit number).
- Select the file and press Ctrl+C on the keyboard to copy it.
- Select a different folder and press Ctrl+V to paste the file.
Some add-ins show explicitly what file to backup.
