Point of Sale (POS)
Build 78 of Inventory Pro for Windows now includes Point-of-Sale (POS) functionality. The POS functionality does not have an automatic cash drawer (yet),
but works with a manual drawer and USB or wireless wedge barcode scanner. Merchant services are provided through your bank or Peachtree or Quickbooks to handle credit card transactions. This functionality is intended for a somewhat low volume cash and carry window in a higher volume warehouse - distribution center operation. Build 78 is integrated with Peachtree so each transaction makes it to your ledger as paid or on terms defined for each customer....Quickbooks integration will be completed in a future release.
To get to the Point of Sale screen, click on the main menu for Shipping - then select Point of Sale. You can even set this as the default screen for a PC to start with if it is used primarily for POS by using a custom configuration.
